Residents of Queen Anne's County will receive information and materials in various formats through public library service which successfully addresses their educational, informational and recreational needs in a cost effective manner.
The Library is governed by a Board of Library Trustees composed of twelve members. A Board member is appointed to a three year term and may serve no more than two consecutive terms.
The current Board of Trustees is composed of the following members:

The Board meets on the fourth Monday of alternating months. The January, March, July and September meetings are held at the Centreville Branch. The May and November meetings are held at the Kent Island Branch. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the Branch's meeting room. Minutes of meetings are available for the public's perusal.

A new adult library card will be made immediately upon presentation of appropriate ID. The required ID is a valid Maryland driver’s license or identification card with current Maryland address. ID such as printed checks or recently postmarked mail with a current address will be considered upon request.
Children who can print their names and are accompanied by a parent or guardian who signs the library card application will immediately receive juvenile library cards. Young adults under 18 will receive juvenile library cards on presentation of a valid Maryland driver’s license or learner’s permit.
All residents of Maryland may apply for a Queen Anne's County Free Library card or have a valid library card from another Maryland public library registered in our system.
Out-of-state residents, who pay a yearly fee of $30, may receive a Queen Annes County library card.

Two renewals will be allowed for all four week items and one renewal is allowed for everything else. Renewals may be done in person, by telephone (410-758-0980 or 410-643-8161) or via the web catalog with your library card # and PIN #. (Choose a PIN # at the circulation desk when visiting the Library.) Use the "Check My Account" tab on the home page or web catalog to access your record and renew your materials.
Items that are on hold for another patron or interlibrary loan materials cannot be renewed.
